Grey Area formed in 1992 as a sound art / film/ noise project and soon mutated into a recording identity. The band has moved through various permutations ...from experimental, abrasive, punk, techno styles to its current ambient electronic state. Grey Area has released 4 full length albums, the last a retrospective album of their early work. Alex Salter heads up the project that has played host to many colourful guest performers and vocalists. Alex has road tested his tracks DJ’ing at some truly massive events in the globes chill out calendar.  Grey Area is currently based in the blue Mountains behind Sydney Australia.
