Named after a B-side of Britrock band Oasis, solo artist Daniel Stenger aka 'Flashbaxx' decided to embark on a surprisingly varied musical career. His discovery by Mainz-based lounge label Wohnton (2003) was soon followed by several contributions to compilations (Flooristik 3, Lounge Pearls, Klassik Lounge Vol. 3), DJ gigs and concerts with his 'Sonic Soul Division' and post-hardcore band 'Fitzcarraldo' as well as commissioned work for graffiti design publications, TV spots and theatrical plays.
After years of sampling, arranging and producing Flashbaxx found his own way of making music. Always searching for the perfect fusion of real played instruments and electronic soundscapes, flavoured with a squeeze of unnumbered other influences like jazz, classic of funk.
In December 2003 he released his first album under own distribution. "Livingroom Adventures" brought a great overview of Flashbaxx' musical broadband. From Downbeat to Lounge, from TripHop to Electronica. The debut has been also released as a (very) special edition. Andreas Schüssler aka Pixelkaos designed the record like a 5 ¼ inch floppy disk with an awesome booklet design. Anyways... it's completly sold out since years!
Electronic music is just one side of Daniel Stenger. He is a musician, an audio junkie with heart and soul. He plays several instruments and loves jam sessions. Finally Daniel is doing the music that he wants to do. Never mind the genre or style. And the Flashbaxx project is just a part of the whole picture.
